Foundations of the chart
What a Birth Chart Actually Is
Not your future or your personality type. A map of how attention, desire, fear, and will are arranged in you.
Most people come to astrology looking for the future. The tradition is partly to blame: centuries of almanacs trained us to treat the sky as a calendar of events. This path begins elsewhere. The chart is a hypothesis about recurring tendencies, not a verdict and not a schedule of events.
The four raw materials
Attention is where the mind goes without being asked. Desire is what it wants once it arrives. Fear is the boundary desire keeps meeting, and will is what happens at that boundary. Read honestly, a chart describes how these forces are arranged: where they are strong, tangled, or quiet.
A chart does not tell you what will happen. It gives you a disciplined way to notice what keeps happening.
The sky is not issuing a judgment. It describes a structure, and structure remains open to how a life is lived.
What this study will not do
It will not assign a personality type or tell you which decision to make. It offers a precise language for patterns you can test against experience.
